I made several orchids using photos of the real thing to construct these from plastic. Some translated better than others, and of course I added and edited at will while trying to capture the general form. This is one of the best that I turned out.

Orchids are my favorite flower of all. If you have looked through my website you have may have seen that they have been captured in paint, metal, and now here in plastic. Ironically, though I love orchids and have owned several, they are some of the fussiest plants to care for, and I have yet to get one to bloom on my own. I guess I will have to settle for making them through my artwork!
