Front Doors Before
2008
I took this picture while I was in the process of repairing and repainting the front doors. I did the left one first because it needed the most work. Someone, once upon a time, had kicked in the bottom panel where you see the carved daffodil. It was split in half. There were big chunks of wood missing around the top and bottom of the molding, and it was badly nailed back together. I used auto body filler to fill in the areas where wood was missing. Unless you look closely you would never know how beat up it once was.

While working on the doors, I accidentally broke the nice frosted glass transom window original to the doors. I felt bad, but I made nice new stained glass windows to replace both. I still have one intact that I hope to do something with. OOPS!!!
