Under the nasty linoleum tiles that went from the kitchen to the front door are the original heart pine floors. I had a heck of a time sanding off the glue and other stuff from the boards in this rather small space. I guess a floor sander instead of a hand sander would have been quicker, but that's what I had at the time. Once I was finished, I decided to paint the boards. At first it was going to just be a solid color, but I decided it go a setp or two farther and painted a diamond, and a "C" for Carlo in the center for my husband.
