I just started to remove the molding and walls from our bay window this past weekend in order to insulate. As I did so, I found sheets from old newspapers behind the molding. These papers are from between 1892-1894! As I continued to remove the walls I found that whole newspapers were stuffed into the small spaces of the angles of the window! We have tons of these old papers now! I threw a bunch away because they just crumbled in my hands as I touched them. Some I can not even get to because the space is so small! The following pictures are just a few of what I found.
